Genesis was supposed to save the world. Instead, it taught the dead how to move.
New York is collapsing beneath the infected, and the horror is worse than anyone imagined. The monsters are not empty. Somewhere inside each ruined body, a human mind may still be trapped, forced to watch while the flesh hunts, feeds, and obeys.
Firefighter Ethan Rost is one of them.
His wife Angela is still alive, fighting through the wreckage. Their children, Rebecca and River, are loose in a Manhattan turning into a graveyard. Connor Hale, a scientist who tried to stop Genesis before the fall, is carrying stolen evidence, infected blood, and the growing suspicion that the end of the world began with a lie buried inside the cure itself.
But survival is only the first layer of the nightmare.
The infected are changing. Some remember. Some resist. Some can be reached for seconds at a time before the thing inside them drags the body back under. As factions rise from the ruins and the dead begin moving with a purpose no one understands, the question is no longer whether humanity can survive.
It is whether the human soul can survive being imprisoned inside the monster.
The Passenger is a dark, character-driven apocalyptic horror novel about family, memory, conspiracy, and the last fragments of selfhood left inside the end of the world.
